I take 3 hits to kill an enemy. Nothing short of WE will give me enough to use Asuran on every target I reach.
Why are people dealing so little damage in melee?

I'd say whatever meets your taste. However I use swords and work with its lowest minimum damage by adding more damage to it through various ways. I have a problem with working with axes because they have the lowest minimum damage (6). It's easier for me to deal around 100 damage with my sword than with the axe considering the skill options for each.
Of how I can deal an average of 100 damage with my sword, I won't tell... Unless you're part of my guild or alliance.

This is a horrible solution, in fact, it'll just screw you up. There is no reason at all to do this. It just throws efficiency out the window (can't weapon swap) and you'll have to pay for 2 sets of armor.

Thats not hard.
10-20 base
+3 vamp
+40 DSlash
+21 SoH
+12 Barbs
Thats 86-96 already, and thats not with Asuran Scan.

Agreed. It's much easier to have a sword helm and an axe helm and swap as appropriate. The axe helm might turn out to have a +1 Strength inherent rather than +1 Axe Mastery inherent. :P

Auspicious blow on a hammer, so many ways to apply weakness and auspicious is free +7 juice on every hit. I tend to run with FGJ or Inspirational speech /p casters so adrenaline is a non-issue. I have a MM N/P with IS and Withering aura, dude lets me scan anything I need to on recharge. It's what I use for discord on my W.

For DPS, swords.
FGJ + Dragon Slash = massive single target damage + great party support if taking "SY!"
Hundred Blades + Whirlwind = great AoE damage.

Warriors can use Axes, Daggers, Hammers, Scythes, Spears, and Swords to good effect. Bows should be used for pulling only, as a Warrior has no way to regenerate energy quickly enough while using a Bow for it to be worth the hassle.
Steps to Kicking Much Ass:
1) Choose your weapon.
2) Customize the weapon to get +20% damage bonus.
3) Tell your weapon you love it so much that there is a nice bunch of enemies that it can hack, slash, pierce, smash, gut, decapitate, disembowel, demolish, and otherwise destroy within easy reach. Make good on this promise, allow your weapon to have its fill of kicking ass. Repeat as necessary to the full satisfaction of your weapon, then once again for good measure.
4) Profit.

Personally I rate all 3 weapons equally.
Earth Shakaaaaarr!!!!! rules for hammer.
WE axe limitless energy spammer build for axe.
"godmode" sword build for sword and the in favour again HB.
I rotate and tinker when it comes to weapon choice. Too much of either makes me bored. I cant be bothered comparing them cos its impossible to say one is better than the other.

I hate how people say use a scythe if u wanted to be a dervish then use a scythe if you don't have the campain then you shouldn't have permission to use a scythe pick either a sword or a axe. Ok I prefer a sword because I love the hundred blade (includeing whirlwind and sun and moon slash) that just wrecks mobs. Now for a no mob build
For great justice
Flail
D slash
Serevy
Gash
Lions comfort
Live vicaroiusly(or endure pain
Vigoures spirit

Nope. Though my Warrior does have a set of customized Thunderfist's Brass Knuckles for that purpose (looking for a +20% Dwarfslaying Dagger Handle to mod them out with, btw), since every once in a while I get on a kick to go stuff my fists down Fronis' henchmen's throats and I occasionally use it as a Chest Run.
Admittedly, Dagger Warriors are stuck using Warrior's Endurance as the Elite (otherwise, just like a Scythe Warrior, you'll have no energy if you don't use WE), and don't have Critical Strikes, so they'll never be up to par with an Assassin primary, but Daggers are fun to screw around with from time to time.
@qvtkc:
I originally had a more expansive list, but some of the points aren't possible in GW, so I shortened it. However, I firmly believe in point #3. My weapons all get to throw around ass-whippings on a regular basis. Why? Because my Warrior loves his weapons, so he treats them right.

Go with Swords, mess around with the skills enough and you'll come out with a good build.

Wait a sec.....GW is ~4 years old with millions of copies sold and perhaps 100,000's of active players and YOUR GUILD/ALLIANCE is the only one with this uber secret build that no one knows about?! Secret builds actually exist?! GTFO!
I am willing to bet anyone with a half decent understanding of GW can make a sword build that does 100dps easily with very little thought. So what makes you special again?

sword<axe<scythe (hammers are primarily for KDs, which swords or brage do better in PvE) and crits ftw.
but yea scythes autoattack for what you can do with Final Thrust, lol.
use WE scythe, the pvx one is FINALLY right, the one I've run since forever.
